Thanksgiving - World Premiere!

St. John’s Cathedral - 820 North Jackson Street
A world premiere by Milwaukee native Daron Hagen; featuring organist Karen Beaumont and percussionist Terry Smirl; collaborations with Milwaukee Children's Choir, Milwaukee Choral Artists and annual tradition featuring The Bucks, American Indian Drumming and Singing Group.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin…..Present Music, Milwaukee's internationally acclaimed new music ensemble continues its tradition with their Thanksgiving concert on November 20 at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist! 

The concert will include:


Daron Hagen

· Flight Music -A world premiere by Milwaukee native,
Daron Hagen. 
· Performances by the Milwaukee Choral Artists, Milwaukee Children’s Choir and The Bucks – American Indian Singing and Drumming group!
· American Premiere- Sophia Gubaidulina’s powerful
Risonanza- featuring a blazing brass ensemble, strings and
 St. John’s magnificent organ.

The Tyrant - Midwest Premiere
Friday, April 21, 7:30 p.m.
UWM Zelazo Hall - 2419 E. Kenwood Blvd.
A theatrical production featuring lighting and props; tells the story
of a king who cannot leave his throne for fear of being overthrown -
he experiences his kingdom entirely through sound. Adapted from
a story by 20th century experimental novelist Italo Calvino.


Features a live performance by world famous tenor John Duykers.

Present Music is one of only 4 U.S. contemporary classical music ensembles invited to join this performance consortium
