Oak Park Resident Mary Seibel Stars
in
"Over the Tavern"
at Theatre at the Center

Munster, Ind.- Oak Park resident Mary Seibel appears as

1950s.

The show previews September 8 and opens September 16
at 8:00 p.m. at Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, closing October 9, 2005.

starring Harold Gould.  Other Chicago credits include Grandma in "The Sandbox" (during Albeefest) and "Galileo" at the Goodman; "The Cripple of Inishmann,"
A "Skull in Connermara" and "A Perfect Ganesh" at Northlight; and "Lend Me A Tenor" and "Steel Magnolias" at the Royal George and Apollo Theaters.

"Over the Tavern" is a poignant and hilarious story of
the joys and travails of the blue-collar Pazinski family
in 1959 Buffalo, New York.  Cantankerous father Chet
runs the tavern beneath the family's apartment, while his wife, Ellen, tries to hold the family together.  Precocious, mischievous twelve-year-old Rudy clashes with the ruler-cracking, no-nonsense Sister Clarissa over reciting
his catechism.  Rudy looks after his mentally challenged older brother Georgie, as rebellious older brother Eddie is
struggling with starting a life of his own, and older sister Annie is enamored with dreams of becoming a movie star.

Throughout the play, the Pazinskis discover the importance of family, forgiveness, and the renewal of faith.
