New sweepstakes offers grand-prize trip for 10 to ‘The Greatest
Spectacle in Racing’
INDIANAPOLIS, Friday, March 17, 2006 – Is racing in your blood? Does
experiencing the spirit of the Indy 500 and attending “The Greatest
Spectacle in Racing” top your list of dreams? Want to party in the
shadow of the world-famous Bombardier Pagoda, which stands alongside
the legendary 2.5 mile oval at Indy?
Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC (BFNT) is launching a
promotion this spring in support of the Firestone® Firehawk, the
tire that was “Born at Indy®, Performs Everywhere™.” Consumers can
register to win the grand prize, a trip for 10 to attend the 2007
Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, simply by visiting any participating
Firestone retailer from May 1-June 25, 2006. Winners will be randomly
selected, from entries submitted at participating retailers, on July
15, 2006 at the Firestone Indy 200 in Nashville, Tenn.
“The Firestone Indy 500 Pagoda Party Sweepstakes is a chance of a
lifetime to attend ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing®,’” said Phil
Pacsi, executive director of Consumer Tire Marketing, BFNT. “Firestone
has won more races at Indy than all of the other tire manufacturers
combined. This year marks the 90th running of the Indianapolis
500 Mile Race®, so we wanted to do something special to help
commemorate this milestone, as well as salute the brand’s rich history,
which spans more than a century.

Additional sweepstakes prizes include a First Prize of a collectible
Tag Heuer Indy 500 watch, five Second Prizes of a set of four Firestone
Firehawk Indy 500 tires, and 10 Third Prizes of a framed, limited
edition Indy 500 90th Anniversary commemorative art piece, which
includes images from the legendary venue as well as piece of the
historic Brickyard.
