ooo “Wines in the Wild” Fundraiser to Benefit the Chicago Zoological Society’s Conservation and Education Programs Brookfield, IL—Sample dozens of tempting international and domestic wines while helping support the Chicago Zoological Society’s conservation and education programs during the sixth annual Wines in the Wild. The benefit, hosted by the Society’s Women’s Board and sponsored by Prestige Countryside Liquors, will be held Sunday, November 19, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brookfield Zoo’s Discovery Center. During the wine tasting, guests will have the opportunity to sample more than 60 wines from the major wine-producing areas of the world. Among the wines to be tasted are Jorge Ordonez Spanish wines, Grateful Palate Australian wines, Italian wines from Vin Di Vino, Gunderloch and Monchhof from Germany, and Kobrand, Chateau & Estates, and Matanzas Creek from California. Hors d'oeuvres to complement the wines will be served throughout the afternoon. Silent and live auctions featuring jewelry, original art and photography, airline tickets, private collection wines, international and domestic trips, and special Brookfield Zoo-themed tours will be held at the afternoon event. Maron Hindman of Hinsdale will be the auctioneer for the live auction, which will begin at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for Wines in the Wild are $75 per person and include admission to the zoo, parking, and a commemorative wineglass. Those interested in extending their evening at the zoo can make reservations to attend a dinner that follows the tasting. The dinner, which features a preselected menu accompanied by wine, will be held at the zoo’s Bocaditos restaurant. The cost is $70 per person.
