Large Leather chairs for your comfort
and enjoyment.
The latest technology run by union professionals.
The films are spliced and run from horizontal
feeds
insuring quality and less chance of film breaking.
Even this
room is kept spotless and that means no contamination
on
the film...better viewing.
review by Ed Vincent
April 6, 1998 was the date
North America opened its first
Premium movie going experience.
The Premium Cinema,
in the Yorkown Center Mall, is
the theater that is a dream come true.
The experience of sitting in leather
seats suited for a Rolls Royce
and having lavish food brought
to you is reminiscent of either
a Roman feast or party for Hollywood’s
elite (perhaps both…)
We had a sample of most of the items
from the menu and
there are few places to eat that
can top the quality of food that
is served at the Premium Cinema
in Yorktown Center Mall.
The dining is not only first rate,
the presentation is a mark
others should strive for.
The key to this success is a good
business plan but the biggest asset
are the people who run
the business. Good food with
poor service will loose customers.
A poorly maintained facility will
eventually loose market to those
concerns that keep their establishments
looking good. This
place looks good, views good, tastes
good, and feels good
where you sit.
Ms. Jamie Bauer, the manager of
the Premium Cinema is
the force behind the success.
Ms. Bauer knows how to treat
people, both those that work for
her and those that she works
for. Mr. Collin West is also
a manager at the Premium Cinema.
Mr. West is pleasant, and
has a warm inviting presence
that welcomes patrons to the theater.
Ms. Bauer and Mr. West
along with a dedicated and professional
staff will make your
next trip to a movie something
to remember. If you only come
for the show the price of admission
covers all the pop corn that
you can eat and with seating fit
for the royalty in all of us.
I am listing this theater in our
database for the simple reason
that it has class and is only a
short drive down route 88 west
to Highland Avenue and then two
right turns and you can see
the theater on your left a couple
of hundred yards ahead.
We toured the facility, from the
top notch sound system to
latest in film projection equipment.
Even the bathrooms seemed
like a fancy hotel in a major city.
For a little more than a regular
theater you can be treated like
a million and no kids. No one under
the age of 21 is permitted due
to the wines and liquors that are
available. I would encourage
all our readers to give it a try and
see for yourself. It’s a
lot of fun and a good buy for your investment.
Below is a link to the General Cinema
page and from there look to
the left and find the Premium Cinema
information and look under
Illinois, and then Yorktown.
The times prices and shows are all
there. Make your reservations
ahead and enjoy the show.
Below is a list of some of the foods
on the menu. You can either
eat them before the show in the
Bistro or finish them while the
show is on, or eat them entirely
during the show.
The prices for the foods are reasonable
and average priced for
the current market.
