Reader's Theater in Oak Park read "Proof" by David Auburn. review by Ed Vincent The show version of "Proof" was
at the Shubert in Chicago last year. This is a wonderfully scripted
writing and a tale of mental adventure. The story is based in Chicago
and takes place in one location, though through transitions in time.
This is and shall always be well written and the same seems to be true
too of the people performing it. The Shubert's cast was talented
and worthy of praise, so was the Free Readers Theater in Oak Park.

The play focuses on many interviews with residents of the region where Matthew Shepard was killed. There are some 78 different characters who perform in this play. Extra performers will be brought in for this presentation and everyone shall have multiple roles. I would recommend anything done by this ensemble of gifted readers of well chosen material.
