ELEEMOSYNARY
by Lee Blessing
Directed by Melissa Meloro

Starring Sandy Borglum, Katie Johnston,
and Linda Roberts.
“ a grandmother, a mother, a granddaughter and a pair of
hand-made wings.”

The three women in this play are wonderful and inviting in their
performances. The characters are interesting and well written.
This is a smart play about smart women, dysfunctional though
they may be.  The trials and tribulations that they become involved
with are both entertaining and imaginative in their design.  The
acting is a feat of pure dedication and hard work, there is nothing
experimental or untried here.  Katie Johnston, as Echo,  makes a
lead in a Shakesperian play seem a warm up to her performance in
this drama.  We would encourage all our readers to view this
delightful play and thank the Oak Park Area Arts Council
for their support of this and other plays in our area.  Circle Theater
is top notch, in this or any area.  Please see this play.
