Merveilleux  !!!!
by Ed Vincent

Cirque du Soleil’s “DRALION” is an artistic wizardry of sight, sound,
and touch.  All of your senses will be touched, caressed, and
pampered to the delights of the extraordinaire.  Entertainers of
the highest caliber have been assembled from the world to show
Chicago the majesty of pure big top drama.  This luxurious tent that
has been assembled on the lot of the United Center is fully air
-conditioned and equipped with a sound system and staging to
make any stage manager jealous.  This is a new tour to come to
Chicago, the first in three years.  The vision that began Cirque du Soleil
has now expanded to many parts of the world, well beyond Quebec
(since its beginning in 1984 the show is now seen on four continents).

This show should stay in town for two months, not just one.   Many
of the tickets are sold out until the last week of the performance.  Please
call as soon as possible to see this show.  If I were a politician I would
prevent them from moving the tent until September.

Cirque du Soleil is a gift of beauty, art, perfomance, and splendor to
the world.  Come and be amazed.

In 2001, Cirque du Soleil will stage seven shows on four continents:

             Alegría (Asia-Pacific)
             Quidam (Europe)
             Mystère (Las Vegas, U.S.A.)
             "O" (Las Vegas, U.S.A.)
             Saltimbanco (Asia-Pacific)
La Nouba (Walt Disney World® Resort, Florida, U.S.A)
             Dralion (North America)

In keeping with its sense of social responsibility, Cirque du Soleil allocates part
(nearly 1%) of its potential box-office revenues to philanthropic activities that
assist young people in vulnerable socio-economic circumstances. In particular,
Cirque top managers have set up the "Cirque du Monde" program, which uses
circus arts as an alternative way of working with youth in difficulty.
