Nuevas Horizontes a group from Triton College
working with many Spanish speakers in the Triton
District, presented the CUERDA FLOJA ARTS
TROUPE
in their production of "EL OSO" (THE BEAR)
by Anton Checkhov and directed by Oak Park's very own
Eduardo Von.
The production was shown to a packed house at Triton College
and was well recieved by all who attended. These are highly
talented professional Spanish actors doing top notch work.
Eduardo Von, who has two sons in Oak Park's schools and
a talented hardworking wife. Eduardo Von is headed for
a
bright future.
Since a bi-lingual education is becoming a plus for many children
in Oak Park, and since that second language is spanish, many
children and adults should be pleased to have such a talented
spanish director in our town. Eduardo Von also directs plays
in english, has been the star in several movies, and hopefully
may get the chance to treat Oak Park to some of his works
at the Village Players theater in Oak Park.
