2009 Registered Sex Offender Locations for the Oak Park Region

The mapped locations of registered sex offenders for the area in and around Oak Park shows a strong correlation,
not causal, between poverty and registered sex offenders.

One could argue that poor folk have less money for attorneys and less funds for out of court settlements.  We
are now finding in our data that sex offenders known to be in a given area are being listed as homeless.  Many of the homeless have mental issues, family issues, drug and alcohol problems,  and general dire circumstances.

Decades have gone by with millions of dollars going to other countries for their development and little at home to help those in need.  Bringing the homeless with their needs into your community brings a whole host of issues, like some of those listed above.  Additional police work is also on board with the homeless in the neighborhood.

Sex offenders have a high repeat offense number and that is
one reason laws were enacted so that they are required to register with local authorities, though some do not, and some on the streets are also not listed.

Years ago there were soup kitchens in the city that people
would volunteer at and give those in need some assistance in their own neighborhoods.  Some then thought it was a good
idea to bring the troubles of the city into their own towns.

Perhaps people wanted to save gas or money going into
the city to help and thought it a good idea to bring people into their public libraries and parks with a host of issues.
Why not bring these issues into your own home, bring a
homeless person home into your family or you could work
to have the government do it...

Protect your children and young.
