Welcome Their Supports to the Torchlight Parade, on a night with more than enough fog. ![]() Illinois State Senator Don Harmon Addresses a Large Gathering of Obama Supporters for a Short Talk and Longer Walk. © Suburban Journals of Chicago Inc. photo Don Harmon's supporters came to support his efforts and those of Representative Deborah Graham to hold a rally for United States Senator Barack Obama's run for U.S. President. The weather was foggy, dark, damp, and cold, but the spirits were warm and willing to walk the distance. The enthusiastic supporters of all ages were eager for their adventure down Lake Street, holding placards and hearing plenty of car horns in support from shoppers and commuters. ![]() Senator Don Harmon and Representative Deborah Graham ask for Votes for themselves and the Spark of Oak Park Barak Obama. © Suburban Journals of Chicago Inc. photo ![]() ![]() ![]() © Suburban Journals of Chicago Inc. photos Senator Don Harmon walked the walk with his entire family, the kids were promised a treat at the end. The walk, and many like it, handing out brochures and meeting with citizens gave the Harmon's a treat for the whole family and town--three good wins and then some. Now to make the whole situation a bit more complex, at least at the national level. The Democrats in the Presidential battles may have their hands tied again by the entry of another independent. Ralph Nader is actually planning to run for President of the United States again. His last run is believed by many to have given the White House to the current George Bush. His complaints are that the Democrats are not liberal enough and more needs to be done to free the government from big businesses. He has noted that he will run in 2008 for President if he is able to raise sufficient funds for the effort. ![]() ![]() ![]() © Suburban Journals of Chicago Inc. published by Suburban Journals of Chicago Inc. |
