Oak Park Police Officer Chuck Kielma Dies from a Motorcycle Accident

Chuck Kielma was a popular Policeman.  He worked in Oak Park for the past 13 years as a traffic patrolman.  Mr. Kielma had also worked for almost a decade in Cicero as policeman.  He died from injuries caused by a motorcycle accident near his home in the western suburbs.

He lost control of his motorcycle on a turn from one highway to another
while driving with friends, no other vehicles were involved and there was no police work being done at the time - he was off duty.

After the accident Officer Kielma was taken to Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center located in Joliet, once he was stabilized he was taken by helicopter to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.  He
fought valiantly to save his life and Oak Park Police Officers kept a vigil at the hospital, while he remained with friends and loved ones.
He passed in the evening.

Officer Charles Kielma, was 49, and is survived by his loving wife
Julie and their two teen daughters.

The wake is from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29th
at
the Suburban Family Funeral Home
