An Adult Male Oak Park Resident Has Just Recovered from West Nile Virus

The middle aged caucasian male had suffered with high
fevers for almost two weeks. This same strain if found in
a child or an elderly person could have been fatal.
With the general increase in all insects from grubs in the lawn to mosquitos extra caution should be taken to avoid
bites from mosquitos and keep an eye on your lawns for
brown spots appearing.
The location of the West Nile mosquito bite is an area
adjacent to Brooks Middle School (Washington and
Kenilworth). Insect repellent is advised when the mosquitos are most active - dawn and dusk.
