Local Gardeners to Display Their Talents at June 23  Oak Park and River Forest Garden Walk

Eleven private gardens will display their summer glory to the public at this year’s 14th annual Oak Park and River Forest Garden Walk, Saturday, June 23.  Carefully selected to both delight and inspire the gardens showcased this year will include a geometrically designed garden to complement an unusual Art Deco home, a plant collector’s dream garden, and a lovingly restored family garden featuring antique architectural elements.
   
The annual fundraiser for the Friends of the Oak Park Conservatory and the Garden Club of Oak Park and River Forest, the self-guided tour begins at the Oak Park Conservatory, 615 Garfield Street, and runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased for $15 in advance, or $18 at the Conservatory on the day of the Walk.

Tickets can also be purchased by mail through June 15. Make checks payable to ticket orders to ‘Garden  Club of Oak Park and River Forest’ and mail to Garden Walk 2007, P.O. Box 5633, River Forest, IL  60305 by June 15.
