HARMON REAPPOINTED CHAIRMAN
OF SENATE REVENUE COMMITTEE
Springfield, IL - State Senator
Don Harmon (D- Oak Park) has been
reappointed as Chairman of the
Illinois Senate Revenue Committee. As Chairman, Harmon will continue to lead the
committee as members debate important
proposals regarding the state's revenue policy and tax matters.
"I am honored that President
Jones has continued to place confidence in me and my abilities. As a committee,
we will be placed in difficult
situations as the result
of Illinois' economic straits. We must be
prepared to make tough decisions
that will affect every tax payer. I
look forward to working
diligently with my colleagues in the coming
months on issues that will have
a lasting impact."
In addition to serving as
Chairman of the Senate Revenue Committee,
Harmon will serve as Vice
Chairman of the Judiciary Committee on Civil Law and a member on Environment and Energy
Committee and the Judiciary Committee
on Criminal Law.
