Sue McMahon was a wonderful woman, worker, dedicated Employee of the Village of Oak Park.  A friend to all in the Village and loved by many.  She was a friend to people who worked with her for nearly two decades.  She was a close friend to Village Clerk Sandra Sokol, as well as many others too numerous to mention.  She always had a smile and a "can do" attitude for both staff and residents of Oak Park.

Her senseless death by a young male driver of a car, not from Oak Park, leaves many questions to be answered.
The driver was held for the legal limit without charges being placed for 48 hours.  There has been no news of alcohol results or drug testing on the driver.  It had been noted that
the driver hit Ms. McMahon as she was standing in the street next to her car.

She was taken to Loyola Hospital where she was conscious and fought for her life with the same "can do" attitude that served us all so well.  In the end the trauma and injuries were too great and she left the bounds of Earth, but her memory will not be forgotten by those that loved her.

We all will miss her greatly and give thanks to all that she gave us.

Sue McMahon
