Forest Park held its' Centennial Celebration this past weekend and the crowds loved every minute of the festivities.  Lots of
food vendors, music, and rides.  The weather was ideal for the
festive event and cool breezes even came at the right time to
keep the participants comfortable.  Neighbors came with their
kids, kids came with their friends,  and well wishers all enjoyed
the party. 

"This was spectacular', exclaimed one visitor as she bought
rides for her three children at the carnival.  The area behind
Altenheim, the German Old People's Home in Forest Park
was an ideal location for this event.

   Forest Park Celebrates 100 Years with Music, Food, and
        Wonderful Weather.

   Mayor Anthony Calderone Speaks at the 100th Birthday
        of Forest Park.


Forest Park has done very well with bringing new business
and attracking many from the surrounding areas.  When
the Mayor said that perhaps this could be an annual event
the crowd was more than supportive of that idea.
