Pride, Responsiblity, and a Tradition of Public Service Brings Another Tricoci to a Long Line of Firefighters...and then some.
commentary by Ed Vincent

Ms. Angela Tricoci, the fourth generation Tricoci to enter the
profession of firefighter now shows the rest of the family how it is done in her time.  Ms. Tricoci graduated from the Elgin Fire Academy this year
( 8 weeks long, with 40 hours of Hazzard materials training operations), but not before she had all ready graduated from her paramedic classes and the Illinois State Certification.

If that weren't enough for a young woman she will next be starting training in the City of Chicago to be a Policewoman
(
all new regional police train in Chicago).

She is starting, even as this report is being written, her classes which will last for several months.  Ms. Tricoci will also be the
very first Public Safety Officer in the town of Rosemont, who
will represent the Tricoci family and women.  Angela Tricoci,
shall the first female hired in the position in Rosemont.

Earlier in the year she had already many good things going
for her, she had been an excellent student in college (
an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminology from Triton Jr. College), a paramedic, a firefighter, a desire to help others, and a young
healthy woman who knows hard work--
with a great smile and
a
pleasant personality.

Angela Tricoci is flanked by two other young recruits to the Rosemont Public Safety Department, Frank Carrillo on the
left and Mike O'Neil on the right (
a total of five on this day).
Rosemont's Public Safety Department has sworn these folks in
as Public Safety Officers, which means that they shall be both
Firefighters and Police Officers.  Rosemont has had a shortage of
Public Safety Officers when a number of their older Officers recently retired from the force.

The proud new Officers display their badges and ready themselves for more schooling.  The Officers will be able to rotate in their duties and fullfill a larger role then either a
single Police officer or Firefighter can.  Angela Tricoci will
also be able to help with the injured in any circumstance,
having the skills of paramedic to add to her forte.

Four Generations of  Firefighters

Mr. Sam Tricoci retired Chicago Fire Department (left to right)
Lieutenant Mario Tricoci, Firefighter for  the Forest Park Fire Department (29 years), Mr. Anthony Tricoci, Firefighter  for  Franklin  Park  Fire Department (4 years),  and Ms. Angela Tricoci, Firefighter and Paramedic, and now Public Safety Officer for Rosemont.

Graduating the Fire Academy on July 24th of this year,
Angela Tricoci had previously
graduated with honors as paramedic earlier in the year, and now she is the first woman
to out score all but two men who took the exams (
physical, written and oral) for the town of Rosemont.

A proud family sends their best to help the citizens of Rosemont.
