Many people registered for the event on line before the festive day, while others attended on the mall without registering. Those that did register were given T-shirts and gifts from some of the companies present. The weather was good and many villagers were on the mall with their pets. ![]() Stacey and Angi Page from Clippin' critters, cut the nails on pets for free. © Oak Park Journal photo The sisters from "Clippin' Critters" were on the mall promoting their Professional Dog and Cat grooming business by giving free nail cutting to even the biggest dogs. (Clippin' Critters, 708-795-7972 6407 West 34th Street, Berwyn, IL). There were many, many organizations representing many breeds of dogs and cats. There were also many different companies that either helped or promoted certain species, or tried to give them all good food. ![]() A Representative with her dog from a Doberman Dog Rescue Organization. © Oak Park Journal photo ![]() One group of many singing to the attendees and their pets, no dogs barked and the cats meowed. © Oak Park Journal photo ![]() ![]() Therapy Dogs and Education groups come to the mall. © Oak Park Journal photo People and their pets always make a good day and with so much good will outdoors, even the weather behaved like a well heeled mutt waiting to storm. More animals we be adapted and more people will know about the towns efforts to help out our animal friends. |
